Attorney Profile
Attorney Yvette Lopez-Cooper is licensed
to practice law in the State of California
and in all federal jurisdictions. For several
years, she was part of the United States Department
of Justice Attorney Generals Honors
Program and worked as an attorney for the
U.S. Immigration Courts in Southern California.
Attorney Lopez-Cooper has also worked for
the former Immigration and Naturalization
Service, General Counsels Office (U.S.
Department of Homeland Security).
Attorney Lopez-Cooper has practiced immigration
law before the U.S. Immigration Courts, Board
of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Court
of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
She has been a legal commentator for Telemundo,
Univision television and has appeared on Radio
Hispana and Chilean national radio station,
Radio Bio Bio. She is a member of the American
Immigration Lawyers Association and the
American Bar Association.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Ms. Lopez-Cooper
earned her law degree from California Western
School of Law in San Diego, California and
has been admitted to the California State
Bar, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
and U.S. District Court for the Southern District
of California.
